It’s fall ya’ll. And that means it is time to embrace chunky scarfs, slouchy boot socks, and the absolute invasion of all things pumpkin spice.
All this autumn goodness got me thinking…ooh my gourd, I don’t have a halloween costume for my kiddos yet. Halloween was happening all around me, and somehow I hadn't shown up to the party yet. So I did what a lot of other moms out there would do and popped open the internet, praying please don’t fail me now Pinterest.
Ruby is our little leader and quickly decided she wanted to be a unicorn, Violet just wants to wear a dress, and the only acceptable costume for Olive would be whatever here sisters have…yup, she suffers from major case of FOMO. Three hours into my frantic internet search, I realized, Halloween is scary. I mean like expensive scary! Of course like a lot of moms out there, I am drawn to the unique boutique style costumes. While my sense of style screamed Pottery Barn Kids, my wallet shouted back remember college tuition!
After much bargaining, pleading, and some compromise…we decided to give woodland critters a try. I took some tulle special occasion dresses that the girls already own and splurged on cute accessories to make it a little more special. The night of Halloween we will give the girls few touches of face paint and some hair glitter to add that special touch.
