So now that Ruby and Violet are both in school Tuesdays and Thursdays, Olive is living her best only child life. And while I would absolutely LOVE to claim we are super productive during this lull in our day, I am actually quite the opposite. Most preschool mornings are spent trying to find creative ways to kill some time.
Yup, it’s true, Pinterest has tricked us into thinking that everything in our life has to be a perfectly coordinated activity. I might dream of a beautiful brisk fall day filled with apple picking and homemade treats. What I’m sure to end up with is gray drizzly weather and some snacks I found in a hidden pocket of my car. I am trying to remind myself on these days that if I’m excited about life, Olive is going to be excited too.
All 3 girls have a habit of calling every day “the BEST day ever!” Hey guys, today we need to go home and do laundry…best day ever. Looks like we need to make another target run…best day ever. PB and J for lunch again…BEST day ever.
Everyday really can be the best day ever, even if all we are doing is waiting for sissy to be done with school. The hidden little gems in life can really make the best memories. Now on these busy/not busy mornings you can find us bumming around Cedar Rapids looking for the best day ever in the everyday.
